Marlborough School seeks an innovative, engaged, highly organized individual to be an important member of the Marlborough Summer team. This full-time exempt position reports directly to the Director of Marlborough Summer and Enrichment Programs.
In partnership with the Director, the Associate Director helps plan and coordinate year-round programming, including the continued building of a strong summer program and the coordination of enrichment programming during the academic year. This position is also involved in the seasonal staff hiring process, including: position development, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding. The Associate Director is a key leader, mentor and problem-solver contributing significantly to the success of Marlborough Summer.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Summer Program Management
Staffing & Curriculum: Partner with the Director to recruit and hire faculty and camp counselors. Collaborate on developing a summer curriculum that aligns with the school’s mission and philosophy.
Program Management and Supervision: Collaborate with the Director to design, implement, and manage all program aspects. This includes supervising all staff, as well as conducting counselor orientation and providing ongoing mentorship for junior staff.
Faculty Support: Offer instructional support to summer school faculty by assisting with course design, lesson planning, and classroom management.
Community Engagement: Partner with the Director to support teachers, counselors, students, and parents during the Summer program, ensuring a connected and supported community.
Events: In collaboration with the Director, plan and execute key events such as open houses, employee dinners, and orientation meetings.
Administrative: Collaborate with Summer faculty in tracking inventory and program expenses, and submit purchase requests to the Director.
Enrichment Programs
Program Growth: Work with the Director to design and implement enrichment programs that serve the evolving needs of the Marlborough community, including students, families, and employees.
Strategic Planning: Assess community needs to identify and evaluate new enrichment opportunities aligned with the school’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
2–3 years of experience in curriculum development for academic or summer programs.
Proven track record of collaborative leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with a range of constituents and stakeholders.
Knowledge of CampBrain or similar camp management software preferred.
Proficient using software applications, including the Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office.
Flexibility to work some weekends and evenings as necessary.
Ability to work independently, as well as cross-departmentally
