Position Purpose
This full-time position is shared between the Auxiliary Programs of Camp St. John’s and Extended Day. This dual role reports to the Directors of Auxiliary Programs and Camp St. John’s.
Key Accountabilities
Extended Day responsibilities include:
· Stay current with emails from the Director for changes pertaining to program or student schedule changes each day
· Organize and identify staff needed for program transitions each day
· Take attendance and collect students from their classrooms each day who will join the Extended Day program when School is released.
· Manage the release of sibling students during Middle School carpool to ensure all safety and security protocols are followed
· Monitor the activity in each age group throughout the afternoon
· Manage the 4:15 p.m. Extended Day and Enrichment carpool to ensure all safety and security protocols are followed
· Check in to the Director by 4:45 p.m. each day with student load numbers so early staff dismissals can be determined
· Serve as the primary contact for daily needs of students and staff
· Act as a point of contact in the Director’s absence for the Extended Day program and assume all daily responsibilities that need to be covered
· Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Director
· Assist with the organization, fulfillment, inventory, etc. of the Campus Store as needed
· Preparation of daily snacks for each age group and delivery to individual program rooms based on grade level or Enrichment enrollment
Camp St. John’s responsibilities include:
· Assist the Lead Counselor or Camp Director with daily Camp activities
· Supervise campers during games, crafts, STEM projects, sports, and enrichment activities
· Help manage transitions (arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, snack, etc.)
· Provide positive behavior guidance and model respectful, kind interactions
· Ensure campers’ safety at all times, following Camp policies and procedures
· Assist with set-up and clean-up of materials and classroom spaces
· Support attendance tracking and help maintain organized camper groups
· Communicate campers’ needs or concerns to the Lead Counselor or Camp Director
· Help maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized Camp environment
· Arrive on time and prepared each day
· Engage actively with campers
· Demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility, and teamwork
· Uphold the mission and values of Camp St. John’s
· Serve as a positive role model for campers
